Robert D. Guiffre

Robert D. Guiffre, 62 passed away at Mercy Medical Center on January 11, 2013, following a brief illness. He was born in Orrville on September 26, 1950 to Robert J. Guiffre of Massillon and the late Johnine B. (Reynolds) Guiffre. A 1968 Washington High School graduate. Robert began his career at Republic Steel & Massillon Steel Casting and concluded it at Heinz. Known as a jokester, Robert was well known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. In addition he is survived by his three daughters, Ann Marie Pittman of Jackson Township, Christina Guiffre Kirven of Massillon, Erica Dawn (Michael) Tully of North Canton, nine grandchildren, Anthony, Dean, Eric, Nicholas, Logan, Dakota, Jayden, Josephine, Olivia, two great-grandchildren, Drezdon, Addisyn, two brothers, Ken (Diane) Guiffre of Beach City, Dan Guiffre of Jackson Township, four sisters, Helen (Mike) Campisi of Massillon, Pamela Guiffre Wendling of Massillon, Marrianne Cooper of Massillon and Janine (Mike) Evans of Surprise, AZ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Josephine Lentz and Anthony Guiffre, and a granddaughter, Lindsey Riley. Roberts wish was to be cremated. A private memorial service was held.
