Robert D. "Butch" Arnold, Sr.

Robert “Butch” D. Arnold Sr., 75, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, in Navarre, Ohio. He was born on October 4, 1946, in Massillon, Ohio to the late Charles E. and Leona (Toland) Arnold.

Butch proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Butch worked at Ohio Gratings, Inc. as a press operator and retired with 40+ years of service.

He had many things he was passionate about: one being his family, and the second being his well-maintained yard which was always cut precisely and green.

If he wasn’t busy with those two things, then you would probably find him out in his garage tinkering on odds and ends while listening to the radio.

He was also an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, a member of the NRA, enjoyed playing baseball, watching westerns, and going on nature hikes.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his loving wife Beverly Arnold.

He is survived by his children Robert D Arnold, Jr., Melissa M Fisher, Brandy (Adam) Cincinat, and Brooke (Samuel) Moats; siblings, Linda Bursey and Charles Arnold; Grandchildren, Brittany Fisher, Dakotah Arnold, Travis Fisher, Thomas Cincinat, Matthew Cincinat, Michael Arnold, and Chloe Cincinat; and great grandson, Brexton Cincinat.

Family and friends will gather in celebration of Butch’s life on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive condolences two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.

A dinner reception will be held immediately following the service at Newcomer’s Chapel of Pigeon Run United Methodist Church.
