Robert C. Scafate, Jr.

Robert C. Scafate, Jr 1956-2017 60, passed away Wednesday, February 8, at home following an extended illness. Born in canton on October 26, 1956, to the late Robert C. and Helen P. (Hines) Scafate. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Steve Rodman Retired from Dominion East Ohio Gas, he was a dedicated family man, who enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and was a Licensed Amateur Radio Operator. He was always a hard worker and loved helping others. He is survived by his wife, Beth (Mansfield) Scafate, whom he married on June 16, 1979; their two sons Robert C. (Rose) Scafate III and Brandon Scafate both of Canton; a grandson Theodore Scafate: sisters, Sandra Rodman of The Colony, Tx and LaDene (Benny) Curlutu of Massillon, Oh; brothers, James L. (Theresa) Scafate of Laytonsville, Md , Michael Scafate of Massillon, Oh, along with many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, February 18, from 10-11AM at Church of the Lakes. A celebration of life service will follow at 11AM.
