Robert C. Marcella, age 64, of Massillon, passed away Saturday morning at the Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Chicago on June 9, 1943 to the late Peter and Anna (Mulligan) Marcella. Bob worked for Geneva Battery in Geneva, Illinois. In 1988, Bob moved to Massillon with his mother. In 1991, Bob met the love of his life, Judy Nickels. On July 24, 1993 Bob wed his love, Judy (Nickels) Marcella. Bob always enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews. He was an avid Cubs fan who truly enjoyed meeting new people. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jim Minnick of California. Survived by wife, Judy (Nickels) Marcella of Massillon; six sisters, Maryann (Francisco) Torres of Massillon, Barbara McWilliams of Illinois, Judith Nosko of Las Vegas, Rosemarie Thompson of Denver, Nora Marcella of Denver, Janet Marcella of Chicago; two brothers, Thomas (Paula) Marcella of Canton, Ronald Marcella of Chicago; in-laws, Wanda and Randy Yarnell of North Canton, Vera Nickels of Massillon, Ruth Ann Adams of Massillon, Archie and Dawn Adams of Massillon, Allen and Betty Nickels of Massillon, Roy and Candy Nickels, Jr. of Massillon, Randy Brissey of Massillon, Helen and Bud Kerns of Malvern, Phillip and Sharon Lawhun of Callifornia; many nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews and a great-great-nephew. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate.
