Robert (Bobby) Charles Guerin, Jr, Age 69 Robert of Massillon, OH, passed peacefully on October 25, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born July 4, 1952, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Robert C. Guerin, Sr, and Arlene (Novak) Guerin. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cyndee; two daughters, Chelsey (Zach) Winkhart and Courtney (Geier) Speer; son, Casey Geier; grandchildren Kaleigh, Dillan, London, Jackson, Isabella, Addison, Kennedy, Kaleb, Alexandra; brother, Jeffrey (Teri) Guerin; and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Bobby graduated from Mayfield High School in 1970, where he was an outstanding athlete on the football, basketball, and baseball teams, as well as the senior class president. He graduated from Miami University in 1974, where he played baseball and earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He was an entrepreneur and businessman during his career. Bobby was a faithful member of Stanwood Community Church in Navarre, OH, and previously attended Emmanuel Christian Church for thirty years where he served as an elder, preacher/teacher, and music worship leader. He had a gift for imparting Biblical truth and sharing the Gospel with everyone he met. He was a humble man who always considered others more important than himself. He always took the time to listen and offer wisdom and encouragement. Bobby’s signature personality trait was his humor. He would often remind people of his “boyish good looks and disarming personality.” His humor helped everyone put life situations into perspective. Despite the obstacles he faced throughout his life, Bobby’s faith remained steadfast, clinging to the promise of his favorite Bible verse Romans 8:28, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” His family asks, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Missions Ministry at Stanwood Community Church. We will gather for a Celebration of Life on November 6, 2021, at 11 am at Stanwood Community Church, 14715 Stanwood Street SW, Navarre, OH 44662.
