Robert "Bob" Reid

March 17, 1948 — May 3, 2023

Robert “Bob” Reid passed away May 3, 2023, after a long fight with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born in 1948 on St. Patrick’s Day and it was the theme of his life. Bob was raised in Cuyahoga Falls with his sister Mary and his late brothers “Ike” & Jeff and his late sisters Sandra, & Magda.

He was married to Sue (Mullen) for 47 years and they met on St. Patrick’s Day at the Bucket Shop in Highland Square.

Bob was a carpenter and could build most anything. With his wife and partner, he ran The Kitchen Shoppe in the 1980’s where you could find him drinking coffee and smoking his pipe while he served customers.

He also worked at the sales desk at Brown Lumber.

Bob loved to travel with his family and have adventures like camping trips, sailing, zip lining, kayaking, & white-water rafting. His big love was music which helped him through these last couple years. He danced to the end.

He is survived by his wife Sue and children Michael (Stephen Roehler), and Katie (Justin) Williams and his granddaughters Everly and Riley, as well as many extended family members.

A celebration of his life will be held on June 10th at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Massillon.

In lieu flowers the family request you make contributions to Alzheimer’s at alz.org; Wellspring Hospice at wellspringcaring.com; or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
