Robert "Bob' Lachmaier

Robert “Bob” Lachmaier, 70, of Coventry Township, Ohio, passed away March 6, 2025. He was born on February 11, 1955 to the late Carl and Catherine Lachmaier. Bob graduated from Canton Central Catholic in 1973.

Bob was an avid classic car enthusiast who spent years running a business building award winning show cars. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend. Some of his favorite past times included drinking coffee (especially laidback Saturday mornings), fishing in Canada, late night thunder storms and always driving “the back way”. He loved playing euchre and he had an amazing laugh that would light up any room when you got him hysterical. He was always down for Chinese food, playing catch, or going on a long drive in the country with good music on a beautiful Ohio spring day.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Carla "CJ" {Beckett} Lachmaier, their herd of pups Pepe, “Stinky Pete”, Darby; and his sister, Ruth Ann (James) O'Hara.

Bob is survived by his children, Jennifer (Bob) McVay and Brad (Lisa) Lachmaier, their mother Cindi (Peebles) Lachmaier; grandchildren, Avery (Avery) Ambrose, Kinsey McVay, Kennedy Demetro, Blaire Demetro, and Dax Lachmaier; siblings, Mary Lou Ward, Jane (Ken) Wittig, and Kathy (Enos) Farnsworth; many nieces and nephews, to include special mention to nephews Jimmy (Holly) O'Hara, and Russell Westfall. Last but not least, his beloved border collies and remaining members of the herd, Chuckie and Smokie Joe.

The family will hold memorial services at a later date.
