Robert Bob Netzly, age 83, passed away Feb. 2, 2006 at Altercare of Navarre after a long, tiring struggle with Alzheimer's Disease and cancer. During his lifetime, Bob was very active in Perry Heights Community serving on the Perry School Board for 16 years. Serving God and his church were also important, and Bob put these beliefs into practice by teaching Sunday School and serving on various church committees at Trinity United Methodist Church in Perry Heights. Bob's interest centered around his home and family. Watching sports, traveling, playing cards and eating ice cream were fun things that Bob liked to do. He was a loving husband to his wife Bettie, a wonderful father to his three daughters and sons-in-law, Tonda and Ron Clay, Tara and Carlo Soliz, and Tela and Larry Laps. Bob was a devoted grandpa to Addie, Ryan and Trevor Lehrke, Callie Soliz, Brandon and Corey Clay, and Justin and Elaine Laps, and Lindsay Laps. Bob was close to his brother Howard Netzly and his wife Betty Lou of Orrville, sister-in-law Joan Netzly of Delta and several nieces and a nephew. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother Paul Netzly of Delta, Ohio. A bouquet of thanks to the nurses and aides at Altercare, who are truly angels in blue and white.
