Robert "Bob" D. Lamp

Robert "Bob"Dale Lamp, 92, of Navarre, passed away on February 27, 2023 at Community Hospice. He was born on January 31, 1931 to the late Everett and Avis (Haught) Lamp in Beatrice, West Virginia. He was a 1949 graduate of Trinity High School in Washington, Pennsylvania. He married Josephine Hartzell on January 23, 1951 and they shared 72 years together.

Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a Salesperson for Ohio Paper Products/Central States Can Composite for over 30 years. He was a lifelong member of the Massillon Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder and taught many Bible classes. He also coached Little League for several years. Bob enjoyed spending time with family, attending all things pertaining to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and was known as Mr. Fix it to his wife and family, helping with many home improvement projects. Bob was a very knowledgeable and spiritual person when it came to his faith. Bob was a kind person and always saw the best in people, no matter what your station in life was.

Robert is survived by the love of his life, Jo; his children, Deborah L. (Carl) Erb, Steven D. Lamp, Brenda S. (Jim) Jennings; his grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Megan, Lucas (Claire) Erb, Nicole (Mike) O'Reilly, Brandi Sharpe, Tyler, Matthew and Madison Lamp and Jordan (Tiffany) Jennings; his great-grandchildren Jaymen, Jenson, Jyles Jennings, Nate, Leiah, Nixon, Noah, Bree, Nolan Lewis, Cedela, Alyssa O'Reilly and Charlotte Erb; his great-great- granddaughter Lumi Lewis; his brother Larry Lamp and host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings Denver Lamp, Duane Lamp, Jack Lamp, Roger Lamp, William Lamp, Dan Lamp, Dorothy Byers, Helen Rogers, Loure Barnes and Judy Carpenter; his daughter-in-law Barb Lamp.

A Celebration of his life will be held at the Massillon Church of Christ at 11a.m. on Monday, March 06, 2023, with Evangelist Rick Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10a.m. until the time of the service. Military Honors and burial will be held at East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
