Robert "Bob" Allman

Robert “Bob” “Bubba” Frederick Allman, 65, of Massillon, Ohio passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on August 5, 2019. Bob was married for 44 years to his wife, Jody, the love of his life and his beloved best friend. Bob treasured Jody always, and loved her deeply and fiercely. Together, they shared a lifetime of laughter and love, always seeing the best in one another and finding joy in all they did together. Whether it was boating around Portage Lakes or simply running errands together, there was always laughter to be had and jokes to be made. Bob and Jody had two sons, Jason and Jamie. Bob was a father who taught his sons to be strong and independent. Jamie and Jason looked to their Dad for guidance, strength, and his one-of-a-kind sarcastic (and sometimes wildly inappropriate) sense of humor. He was their rock, their example, and will forever be their hero. Bob was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio and was a lifelong fan of his Massillon Tigers (and the Ohio State Buckeyes, too). Bob was proud to be a member of the 1970 State Champion Massillon Tiger football team and was a constant fan at all their games. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gloria, his sister Pattie, and his nephew Noah Mehill. Bob was the ultimate grandpa to his four grandchildren. His grandkids were his favorite little people in the whole world, and he was so proud of all of them. Grandpa Bob loved fishing with Austin; he loved watching Neveah in her musicals; he loved seeing Logan play all his sports; and he loved hearing Landon tell his assertive and hilarious stories! He was also survived by his sisters Beck (Mark) Mehill, Sue (Jeff Johnson) Allman; and a niece and nephews. Bob will be always missed and forever honored by Jody, Jason, Jamie, and the rest of the Allman family. Calling hours will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday, August 8, 2019, in the Paquelet Funeral Home. Private family service will be held at a later date.
