Robert "Bob" A. Bushman

Robert “Bob” A. Bushman, 79, of Massillon, passed away on January 3, 2019. He was born on August 15, 1939 in Massillon to the late Clarence and Ardelle (Braucher) Bushman. He married the love of his life, Patricia Barnes, on December 2, 1961. They shared 57 loving years together. Bob was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and President of the Massillon Tigers Booster Club in 1984. He worked for the City of Massillon as the Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and retired after 30 years of service. Upon his retirement, Bob also worked numerous jobs as a consultant. In his spare time, Bob’s greatest passion was spending time at the family cabin in Holmes County. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons and more recently enjoyed woodcarving. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia; sons Jeffrey (Kathy), Mike (Paula) and Steve (Terri) Bushman; grandchildren Alyssa (Zach), Jared (Hannah), Paige, Jay, Samantha, Luke and Nick; great-grandsons Max and Roman; and sister Sharon Heather. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Dick Bushman. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A celebration of Bob’s life will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jim Painting officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
