Robert Bess

This is an address change notification. Robert Bess, 82, of Massillon, passed away on April 30, 2022 following an extended illness. He was born on January 26, 1940 to William and Ilo (Vaughn) Bess in Akron. On June 27, 1959, he married Betty E Bess (Borntrager). Robert and Betty lived in Massillon. Bob was a faithful member of Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle. He taught Greek and Bible Geography at OBC. He worked and retired as a Salesperson in 2005 from Sirpilla RV. He loved camping, hunting and fishing and was devoted to his loving family and his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Betty, Children, Rob D.(Shelly) Bess, Janell M. Bess, Stephanie Y. Bess and Stacie Y. Strange, Sisters, Mary (Dale) Dickson, Martha Young and Linda Clark, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and Sister -In-Law, Carol Bess. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, William Bess. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022, 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm at the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle 3120 Lincoln Way E in Massillon, followed by a 7:00pm funeral service.
