Robert Allen Blaylock

Robert “Bob” A. Blaylock, age 81 of Massillon went home to be with the Lord on October 01, 2021. He was born on January 26, 1940 to the late Arthur and Addie Love (Cooper) Blaylock in Lepanto, Arkansas. He married Cona McCool on September 25, 1959 and they shared over 60 years together until Cona’s passing in 2020. Bob owned and operated several Amoco Service Stations, Country Bob’s Catfish Restaurants and 2 Pizza Pantry Restaurants. He finished out his working career with Stark Truss. Bob enjoyed old cars, collecting knives and fishing. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren . Bob will be remembered for his giving heart, his sense of humor and being the life of the party. Bob is survived by his children, Mark (Robin) Blaylock, Steve (Christina) and Lesa (Terry) Jenkins; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his sisters Judy Jones, Betty (Kenny) Ziegler; his brothers Harold (Sheila) Blaylock and Joe Blaylock; his faithful canine companion Rocky and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers James “Billy” Blaylock, James “Uncle Jr.” Blaylock and Gary Blaylock and his sister Genice Ferguson. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 06, 2021 at 6p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon and will be livestreamed through the funeral home website.
