Robert A. DiScipio, age 71 of Jackson Twp., passed away Sunday September 28, 2008 at his home after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born September 25, 1937 in Wooster to the late Guy & Margaret (Massaro) DiScipio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son and best friend David Wayne DiScipio. Bob graduated from Wooster High School and the Cleveland Institute of Engineering. He served in the Army Reserves and received an honorable discharge. Bob started working for Goodyear Aerospace, continuing with Loral Defense Systems and retiring in 1999 from Lockheed Martin as a senior tool designer with 32 years of service. Golf was a life long hobby, closely followed by motorcycles and cars. When not playing golf, you could count on him being an armchair ref for golf and football Bob is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie (Ankeny) DiScipio with whom he shared 27 years of marriage; step-daughter Julie (Todd) Armstrong, sister Sandra Ganley, brother Richard ‘Dick’ (Casmira) DiScipio, two grandchildren Alexsa and Jacob and Renfro his faithful 14 year canine companion. In addition there are six nieces and many friends. A Memorial Service will be 2 PM Friday October 3, 2008 at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Fr. John Warner will officiate. Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mercy Hospice, 7568 Whipple Ave. N. W., North Canton, OH 44720.
