Robbie Mae Bell Britton Moore 1916 - 2016 age 100, of Canton, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2016 following a brief illness. She was born Robbie Mae Bell on October 17, 1916 in Ramer, Alabama to the late Robert E. and Irene (Walton) Bell. Having been the owner of "Sister Britton's Barbecue House & Robbie Mae's Dressmaking Shop", Robbie was retired from The Hoover Company. She was a longtime dedicated member of the Sherrick Road Church of God. Civically, she served as President of the YWCA Garden Club (nka the Neighborhood Garden Club), a member of the Canton Garden Club, and "T-O-P-S" of Canton. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Zebron Britton and Johnnie Moore; brothers, Ocie Bell, Herbert Bell, Jr., and Pherman L. "Jack" Bell; sisters, Cecelia Bell Graham, Cornelia Bell Banks, Minnie Bell Watkins Wynn, Annie Ruth Bell White and Irene E. Bell Williams. She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Marva L. Bell Dodson of Massillon, Roberta A. Bell (Dr. Robert) Fuller of Southfield, Michigan, Ocie Mae Ransom of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Cecelia Bell Floyd of McDonough, Georgia, Atty. Normarene C. Merritt of Kennesaw, Georgia, Jacqueline C. Simpson of Pembrooke Pines, Florida, Bobby L. Williams of Montgomery, Alabama, devoted friends, Lewis (Theresa) Thompson, Mrs. Mary Meeks, Mrs. Florence Giles, Mattie Burton, Maggie (Ollie) Brookins, Carmen Hunt, John (Tammy) Ramos, Karen (Jerry) Priest, Mrs. Paralee Watkins Compton, Marion & Emma Conner, and James & Susie Rizert. A Celebration of Robbie M. Moore's Life will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Sherrick Road Church of God with the Rev. Michael T. Lemon officiating. Calling hours preceding the service will be from 10:00am to 11:00am. Interment will be made in the Evergreen Memorial Garden, Louisville, Ohio. Condolences may be sent in c/o Mrs. Marva L. Dodson, 1032 Oxford Avenue, N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646. The family wishes in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Robbie Moore's name to the Sherrick Road Church of God Family Life Center.
