Rita Mae Gustin

Rita Mae Gustin, age 90 went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2017. She was born on October 02, 1926 to the late Clemens and Elizabeth (Steffens) Jaeb. Rita was a 1944 graduate of St. John's High School in Canton. She married Robert E. Gustin on September 25, 1948 and they shared 52 years together until his passing on May 09, 2000. Rita was a homemaker. She enjoyed gambling, baking, sewing, quilting, bowling and playing cards with her family. Rita will be remembered as a caring and nurturing Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend She is survived by her children Carol Gustin, Rosalyn E. (Mike) McDonnell, Debra (Larry) Donohue, Diane Gustin and Ronald (Jolene) Gustin; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; her sisters Lucille Scanlon and Marjorie Mizer; her brothers Francis (Mary) Jaeb, Charles (Nancy) Jaeb, Donald (Betty) Jaeb and James (Anita) Jaeb as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Duane in 1988 and her sister Dorothy Inman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 10a.m. Father Raymond Paul officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6 – 8p.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
