Rita Jane Musgrove

Rita Jane Musgrove, age 86 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Meadow Wind Health Care following a short illness with her family by her side. Rita was born on November 4, 1924 in Massillon the daughter of the late Edmond and Mary (Luckner) Barkey. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a member of the Salvation Army which she loved and supported for many years. She will be remembered by all those she loved and cared for throughout the years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Musgrove in 1988, her sister, Marie Chenevey, her brother, Tony Barkey, and her son, Joseph Musgrove. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Barbara Kendrick, Carol (Don Stark) Reichel, Janet (Richard) Swanger, Cheryl ‘Dena’ Musgrove, John Musgrove and Ivan (Patricia) Musgrove; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Rita’s Life will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at The Salvation Army of Massillon, 315 – 6th Street N.E.
