Rickey Walker

Rickey Walker, 64, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Canton, Ohio. He was born in Massillon on March 15, 1958, to late the Walter and Ethel (Huwig) Walker. Rickey was a proud 1976 graduate of Washington High School and a longtime member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He was a truck driver for most of his life and ended his career with JMW Trucking. Rickey not only loved his Tigers, but he was also an avid NASCAR and Cleveland Browns fan, too. Some of his favorite hobbies included his model train collection and binge-watching Yellowstone. Above all, Rickey was a devoted husband and father with a gentle side and caring heart. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 27 years, Darlene Walker; daughter, Ashley (Tyler) Hodges and son, Joseph Walker; siblings, James Walker, Susan (Donald) Bierly, Philip (Laura) Walker and Jacque (Bob) Sikora; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Hill Burial Park.
