Rick A. Hixson

Rick A. Hixson, 69 of Massillon, completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born on October 15, 1948 and was the son of the late Louis and Zelma (Ludlam) Hixson. Following high school, Rick proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He went on to work for the Massillon Post Office for more than 25 years. Rick was a member of the Massillon V.F.W. and the American Legion Post 221. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Warner, Bobby Hixson, David Hixson and Randy Hixson and his sister Adrian Cogan. He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Hixson, Rosemary (Kevin) Watson and Pamela Hixson, his brothers Todd Hixson and Louis Hixson, Jr. and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A celebration of Rick’s life will take place at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday, April 9th at 1:30 P.M. with burial to follow at Eden Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 P.M.
