Richard T." Dick" Moser, 72 went home to his Heavenly Father after a long and courageous battle on Saturday February 25, 2012. He passed away quietly and peacefully at his home in Brewster. Dick was born in Massillon on November 18, 1939 to the late Robert & Effie Steiner Moser. A 1957 graduate of Washington High School in Massillon, Dick was an avid baseball fan and an accomplished athlete having played for many years in youth programs, high school and the Canton Class A League. He was recently honored with induction into the Stark County Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame. He retired from Premier Courier Service in 2008, prior to that he had been employed at Norfolk & Western Railroad and Esber Beverage. Dick loved being with his family and friends camping, fishing golfing and going on cruises or trips to the Caribbean, Mexico or Las Vegas. Dick was the coordinator and planner for these trips. He always had a joke or story to tell and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews anxiously waited to hear what he would have to say. He loved to entertain them. Dick was a member of the Schiller Lodge of the Sons of Herman and enjoyed singing karaoke on Friday nights at the club. He is survived by: his wife, Beverly Hunter Moser , whom he married October 21, 2006, four children; Richelle & Jon Wilson of Indianapolis, IN, Richard & Tina Moser of Jacksonville, FL, Chip & Sonya Moser of Galloway, Ruth & Mike Bottomley of Chattanooga, TN four step-children; Cindy & Ron Peters of Massillon, Bonnie Thompson of Orrville, Chris Byer of Brewster, Todd & Carmen Byer of Brewster, 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Roberta & William Mikusa of Canton, Alberta & Dave Bishop of Orrville, two brothers; Thomas & Cheryl Moser of Massillon, Paul & Stephanie Moser of North Lawrence, aunt, Marge Steiner of Massillon, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents and his wife, Barbara Moser. Friends may gather at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Friday March 2, 2012 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM with a memorial service at 8:00PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice of Northeast Ohio, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Uniontown, OH 44685, who provided care and comfort to Dick during his brief return home.
