Richard "Rocky" Rohn, Jr., age 63 of Massillon, died on Thursday, July 4, 2013. He was born on November 16, 1949 in Massillon and was the son of the late Richard R. and Melva (Hicks) Rohn, Sr. He was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. For 24 years, Rocky worked at Republic Steel and in 2004 he went to work for FORMCO, retiring this year. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he served as a youth leader and an usher. He was a past member of the Massillon Sideliners and a Tiger season ticket holder for many years. He enjoyed music, working on cars, doing body work, gardening, landscaping and home improvement. Rocky loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a family man and adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Wayland Hamric and his brother-in-law, John Doshak, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Debra Sue (Hamric), whom he married on October 30, 1976, his son, Richard (Marisa) Rohn III, his daughter, Tiffany L. (Abraham) Highben, 4 grandchildren, Haley Rohn, Lydia Highben, Alayna Rohn and Jeremiah Highben, his sister, Jackie (Joel) Moore, brother, Thomas (Beverly) Rohn, mother-in-law, Bessie Hamric and sisters and brothers- in-law, Brenda Rodgers, Don (Margaret) Hamric, Sharon Doshak and Beverly (Joe) Manz. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Rocky Rohn will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Elaina Styblo officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
