Richard R. ‘Bob’ Riordan

Richard R. ‘Bob’ Riordan, age 80 of Navarre, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2008, at Altercare of Navarre. Bob was born on September 18, 1927 in Navarre to the late Murl & Gladys (Myers) Riordan and was a 1945 graduate of Navarre High School. Bob retired in 1979 as postmaster in Navarre. His membership includes the VFW Post #5047, FOE, Moose, NRA, ARRL and the Navarre Farm & Game Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy I. Riordan (2000) and an infant daughter Marilyn. He is survived by a daughter and son, Barbara & Duane Henderson of Navarre and Richard & Linda Riordan of Strasburg; a brother, William Riordan of Canton; three grandchildren, R. Mike Riordan, G. Edward & Amber Wheeler and Anthony & Dawn Wheeler; five great grandchildren and two on the way. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Navarre, Fr. Edward Beneleit will officiate. Burial will be at St. Clements Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Navarre.
