Richard M. Ferrell, Jr.

Richard M. Ferrell, Jr., 52, of Massillon passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. Richard was born on July 5, 1961 in Massillon the son of Richard M. Ferrell and Juanita (Lyons) Sarver. He was lifelong resident of the area and a 1981 graduate of Washington High School. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his car and remodeling his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard M. Ferrell, Sr. and his brother Dan Ferrell. He is survived by his loving wife Marcella (Johnston) Ferrell with whom he shared 31 years of marriage; his daughters, Marcia (William) Snyder and Stephanie Ferrell; his mother, Juanita Sarver; his grandchildren, Alea and Jasmine Ferrell, Savannah Klema, and William Russell Snyder, IV; and his brothers, Randy (Denise) Ferrell and Archie and Granville Ferrell. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Dr. Roger Alber will be officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Paquelet Funeral Home to cover expenses.
