Richard Lee Wolfe

February 19, 1935 — January 23, 2018

Richard L. Wolfe, 82 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Richard was born on February 19, 1935 in New Philadelphia, Ohio the son of Carl and Wilma (Stewart) Wolfe. Richard was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from the Republic Engineered Steel Company in 1997. Richard enjoyed woodworking, bicycling, bowling, and traveling. He also was able to attend many Navy Reunions which were held in Pennsylvania. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Wolfe. He is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Magyar) Wolfe whom he shared 59 years of marriage; his daughters, Michelle (Eric) Moss and Beth (Bill) Hastler; grandsons, Branden and Bryan Hastler and Zachary and Wyatt Moss; brother, Robert (Sheryl) Wolfe; and his sister, Susan Ammanniti. A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and on Monday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia Foundation: https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate.
