Richard Lee Judy

Richard Lee Judy, 89, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness. Richard was born in Canton, OH on September 9, 1934 the son of the late Gerald and Grace (Wright) Judy.

Richard was a lifelong resident of Massillon. He proudly served our country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a longtime member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Richard enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, target shooting and photography specializing in weddings. He and his wife were very involved in their children's lives, especially being Band Parents for the Tiger Swing Band during their High School years. His biggest love was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard was known for his sense of humor. He and his wife Marilyn celebrated 61 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2018.

He is survived by his children, Karen (David) Render, Kathryn (Timothy) Erdely, and Michael Judy; grandchildren, Ashley (Brian Hale) Erdely, and Amy David; great-grandchildren, Cadence Hale, Uriah Hale, Gracie Hale, Claire Hale, Gabriel Hale, and Alijah Mitchell; special niece, Brenda (Cecil) Husk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Judy; and brothers, Eugene Judy, Jerry Judy, and James Judy.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Aultman Hospice and nurses, Gabby and Jameika.

According to his wishes, he will be cremated. He will be buried next to his wife, Marilyn at Brookfield Cemetery. A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at a later date. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
