Richard L. Robinson

Richard L. Robinson passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Canton the son of the late Wesley and Mary Jane (Shannon) Robinson. Richard was a 1960 graduate of McKinley High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and track. He was a Journeyman/Pressman at Danner Press for 42 years. Richard played golf at many area courses and enjoyed yearly trips to Hilton Head and many other courses in the Carolina's. His other passions were boating, water skiing, and camping. He is survived by his wife Peggy; his daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Silverthorn, Lori (Randy) Gross, Shari Middaugh and Diane Robinson; six grandchildren; his brother Robert (Virginia) Robinson; and a special cousin Ed (Mary Ann) Kamp. A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Rev. Michael Hayes will be Officiating. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McKinley High School Football Program.
