Richard J. Scolaro, age 66, of Canal Fulton passed away on April 3, 2020 in Canal Fulton, Ohio. He was born in Cleveland on November 28, 1953, to the late Joseph and Nancy Scolaro. He graduated from Richmond Heights high school in and received his bachelor’s in education from The University of Akron. He taught at St. Phillips and James Elementary, Northwest Elementary, Pyramid Training Center, the Urban League and the University of Akron. His final job before retirement was as Office Manager of Heart Transactions Counseling. He served his country in the Coast Guard, National Guard and Army Reserves. Rick had a love for art. He enjoyed drawing and painting. Richard is survived by wife Jacqueline (Mullane) Scolaro; son Stephen R. Scolaro; stepdaughter Jamaica (Rodney) Madison, stepson Jason (Jonica) Mullane, 6 grandchildren; siblings Urban (Marilyn), Anthony (Mary Beth) and Joseph (Ramona) Scolaro. His final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
