Richard J. Hauser, age 89 of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born on October 22, 1921 in Massillon and was the son of the late Karl and Elizabeth (Moore) Hauser. He was a lifelong area resident. Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during World War II. In 1987, Dick retired from the former Camelot Music Company where he was a supervisor. He had also worked at the former Tom Straughn’s Clothing Store and tended bar at Rizo’s Steak House. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Hauser and Raymond Hauser and his sister Kathryn Hamilton. He is survived by his nephews, Duane (Gayle) Hamilton and Michael (Kathie) Hamilton and Charles (Lois) Hauser; his nieces, Patricia Nodo, Cheryl Daniels, Pam (Bryant) Tillis, Carol (Monroe) Maxhimer, Charla Brantley and Shirley Hansel and his sister-in-law, Helen Hauser. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 16th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond L. Paul officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family of Dick Hauser wish to thank all of Dick’s Camelot friends who looked after him.
