Richard Goodwin

Richard Goodwin age 72, passed away at his residence on Monday, October 18, 2021. He was born August 15, 1949 in Marietta, OH to the late Edward & Dorothy (Hill) Goodwin. He was also preceded in death by brothers, William and Robert Goodwin; and sister, Dottie Allberry. Richard was a Washington High School graduate. He retired from Freshmark after 20 years of service. He enjoyed watching the Tigers, Buckeyes and Browns with family and friends. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He is survived by lifelong partner, Karen Goodwin; two daughters, Tonya (Wes) Price and Dawn Goodwin (partner, Dan Yingling ); 7 grandchildren, Wesley ‘Bud’ (Jessica) Price Jr, Gage Price, Jeffrey Goodwin (partner, Emily Toland), Jacob Gerber, Pfc. Nathanael Gerber, Chloe Gerber, Breanna Price; 6 great-grandchildren, Toby Price, Rayna Goodwin, Connor Goodwin, Peyton Toland, Eliana and Owen Price; and a sister, Barbara Randolph. Richard had a heart of gold and strong faith in God. He will be remembered for cookouts, sunbathing by the pool and taking drives to Marietta, Newark and thru the country. He was known for always being available to help any of his family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Randy Newcomer for his spiritual guidance throughout the years. The family gathered privately.
