Richard George

Richard George, 74, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022. Richard was born on March 26, 1948, in Massillon the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Rosic) George, Sr. He was a United States Army veteran and served our country during Vietnam. Dick was a member of the Jaycees. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Dick was a huge Cleveland Browns fan. He attended St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Hess, and brother, Theodore George, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 55 years of marriage Sharon L. (Reis-Pochubay) George; children, Richard P. (Tracee) George, Jr., Jonathan D. (Kaylie) George, Amy E. (Jacob) Allbaugh; grandchildren, Madison George, Richard Paul George III, Parker George, Grace Allbaugh, Anna Allbaugh, Jacob Allbaugh Jr., Benjamin Allbaugh, Elisha Vranesevic, and Rylee George; great-granddaughter, Kataleya Himes; Sisters, Donna Blair, and Janet Spillman; and brother-in-law, Robert Hess. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
