Richard G.’Big Rick’ Simmerman

Richard G.’Big Rick’ Simmerman age 54 of Massillon passed away Saturday February 7, 2009 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1954 in Dover to the late Arthur & Agnes (Smith) Simmerman Gordon. Rick was a 1972 graduate of Dover High School and moved to Massillon in 1972. He was employed by Aqua Ohio Water as an inspector. He loved riding his Harley, fishing and working in the yard. He was a member of AmVets Post #12. He will be missed by his companion of ten years, Kathy Warner of the residence, and by many, many friends. He has five sisters and brothers; Regina (Glen) DeLisle and Donald Simmerman both of Dover, Shirley Grase & Nancy Blackson both of New Philadelphia, Wade Everhart of Kissamee, FL, sister in law Paulette Everhart of Strasburg and many nieces and nephews. A Time of sharing Rick’s Memories will be 11 AM Thursday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends are invited to call 6-8 PM Wednesday and one hour before the service on Thursday.
