Richard G. “Rick” Miller age 46 of Massillon, passed away Friday morning at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on November 7, 1959 in Orrville, Ohio to Glenn and Carolyn (Faber) Miller and was a Massillon resident his entire life. Richard was a 1978 Tuslaw High School Graduate and was employed at Sunoco Phoenix for 11 years as a line mechanic. He was a member of the Massillon American Legion #221, Massillon Moose #481 and the Sons of Herman where he served as an officer. Richard enjoyed sports and especially NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he is survived by; his wife, Rita J. (Turner) Miller, of with whom he celebrated 10 years of marriage on July 27, 2006, daughters and sons-in-law; Kelly and Dan Hardesty of Massillon, Krista and Michael Goldie of Massillon, grandchildren; Christopher and Tyler Finley, Alicia and Kylee Hardesty and Samantha Finley, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services celebrating Richard’s life will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. John Stallings officiating. Calling hours will be held Tuesday 6:00 – 9:00 PM and 1 hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Interment will follow the services at Newman Cemetery.
