Richard G. 'Dick' Shaffer

Richard G. “Dick” Shaffer, age 66 of Massillon, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born on December 1, 1944 in Massillon and was the son of the late Kenneth and Mildred Shaffer. Dick served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He then went on to work at the Timken Company. He was a member of the Clinton Lodge #47, F.& A.M., the AMVETS #12 and the Navarre Post of the V.F.W. Along with his parent, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Shaffer and his sister Donna Hatfield. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Randolph) Shaffer, his son, Patrick Bagley, his granddaughter, Rebecca Bagley and his brother John Shaffer. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Newman Cemetery.
