Richard “Dick” William Knerr, age 89 of Magnolia, passed away on March 08, 2019. He was born in Canton on July 27, 1929 to the late William and Lydia (Kisner) Knerr. He was a 1948 graduate of Canton South High School. He married Donna Lee Daley on September 11, 1954 and they shared 49 years together until her passing in 2003. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Richard retired as a chemist for the Timken Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, waterskiing, reading, electronics, rollercoasters, Uno, Bocce Ball and bingo. He was a snowbird, spending time in Sarasota, Florida in the winter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters Vicky (Daniel) L. Fetters and Sherry (Robert) R. Streb; his grandchildren Shaun D. Fetters, David (Mary) J. Fetters, Scott R. Fetters, Lisa (Patrick) R. Smith and Jeremy (Kristen) A. Streb; his great-grandchildren Brooklyn L. Fetters, Ivy R. Fetters, Ethan S. Fetters, Wynry L. Fetters, Kendall R. Fetters, Brycen D. Fetters, Hadlee R. Smith and Hudson A. Smith; his sister Karen (Alfred) S. Parsons as well as a host of family and friends. A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 11a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 5-7pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
