Richard D. Reeves

Richard Reeves, age 81, of North Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Rich was born in Marietta, Ohio on September 2, 1941, to the late Jacob Reeves and Gladys (Cowan) Irving of West Virginia. He was employed at Massillon Steel Casting, Republic Steel, and was a co-owner of J&R Upholstery with his wife. He loved the outdoors, hunting, and making lifelong friends at the lake, where he was an avid fisherman. He taught his grandkids everything he knew and made it his goal for each of them to win a trophy at least once in the Ohio Huskie Muskie Club.

His constant support and utmost honestly will be missed by his family, always.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Reeves, who he loved endlessly for 65 years.

Rich will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Peggy Saxon and Angel (Steve) Tabellion; his grandchildren, Natasha Paul, Richard Welk, Dylan Tabellion, Stevie Tabellion, and Josie Tabellion; great-grandchildren, Trevin Domro, Olivia Malich, Janna Paul, and Case Paul; great-great-granddaughter, Paisley Domro; sister, Dorothy Clouse and two brothers, Clifford Reeves and Nelson Reeves.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11th from 12pm to 1pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
