Richard C. Flath

Richard C. "Dick" Flath, 62 of Massillon, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2012. He was born on July 14, 1949 in Massillon and was the son of the late Don and Barbara (Timmerman) Flath. Dick graduated from Dalton High School in 1967 and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Urbana University in 1972. He was an avid golfer and had worked at the Legends, Brookside Country Club and Shady Hollow Country Club. At the time of his death he was employed at John George's Drive-Thru. He is survived by his children, Katherine Flath and her husband Jesse, Allison Flath and her husband Adam Downs and Kory Flath. Also surviving are his brother, Ian Flath and his sister Penni Gottfried. A service to celebrate the life of Dick Flath will take place on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 4275 Lincoln Way West, Massillon, OH 44646. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 A.M. The family suggests memorials be made in his name to either the First Tee of Canton, 2525 25th Street NE, Canton, OH 44705 or the donor's favorite Charity.
