Rex S. Ferguson

Rex Ferguson passed away November 19, 2017. Family and friends will remember Rex as a gentle, fun-loving person with a sharp wit and a generous nature. His favorite activities were spending time with his sons including fishing, playing football, soccer, baseball, and other sports with them, helping them build things, gardening, and other outdoor activities. His mother, Marcia, preceded him in death in 2015. Rex is survived by sons Jonah and Zak who live with their mother Lisa Codispoti in Navarre, father Earl, sisters Marcia (Joe), Janice (Don), Guin (Simon), aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rex graduated from Fairless High School, Walsh University, and University of Akron where he had completed all but his dissertation working toward a Ph.D. He had a passion for languages, was fluent in Spanish, and proficient in several other languages. Rex was an avid reader who enjoyed literature, history, American Indian culture, and current events. Family and friends will celebrate Rex’s life at a memorial service Saturday November 25 at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, 107 Sixth Street SW, Massillon, Ohio 44647.
