Rev. David J. West

Rev. David J. West, 63 of Navarre, Ohio ran peacefully into his Saviors arms on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 6, 1954 and was the son of Lloyd and Joyce (Bock) West. He was a minister with the United Methodist Church, serving the Montville UMC, the East Claridon UMC, the Southington UMC and Fohl Memorial UMC until his death. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd, his sister Diane Smith and his brothers, Gary and Jeffrey West. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, TaJuana (Simmons) West, his daughters, Jessica Pavlik and Jennifer (Moses) Troyer, his son, Jason (Tasha) West, four grandchildren, Justin, Kaylee and Mackenzie Pavlik and Matthew Snyder and his mother Joyce McFarland. Also surviving are his brothers, James (Kathy) McFarland and Earl (Judy) McFarland, his brother-in-law, Phil Smith and his dear friend Mark (Toni) Derus. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-5 pm. The funeral will take place at Fohl United Methodist Church on Monday at 6:00 pm with a dinner to follow.
