Rebecca "Becky" S. Starcher

Rebecca “Becky” S. Starcher, 62, of Massillon, passed away at her home on December 17, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born on August 13, 1959 in Massillon to the late Gerald and Myrtle (Martin) Brothers. Becky married the love of her life, Donald Starcher, on October 25, 1980. They shared 41 years together, creating many memories along the way, as well as a family in which they would do anything for. Becky could best be described as a hard working lady who also liked to have fun. She worked at Apple Creek Development Center as a caretaker and then worked at Massillon City Hospital in housekeeping which she did for several years. She didn’t mind working as hard as she did because in turn, she was able to give her family everything they wanted and more. Becky was known for spoiling her kids, which was apparent on Christmas morning. All of these things were done because of Becky’s generosity and kind heart. She would do anything for anyone and always did so with a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Donald Starcher; her daughter Mistiee and son D.J. Starcher; grandchildren who she adored, Sylynce, Maddix and Rayden; and her brother Tom Brothers. In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by brothers John, Bill and Scott Brothers and her best friend and sister-in-law, Ann Starcher. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 27th from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. Final resting place will be Brookfield Cemetery.
