Raymond Reed

Raymond Reed, 97, passed away on August 17, 2017. He was born in Knox, IN on September 11, 1919 to the late John and Nora (Utterback) Reed. Raymond started as a telegraph operator with the Nickle Plate Railroad then advanced and retired as Chief Train Master with the Norfolk &Southern Railroad. Raymond was a lifelong fisherman and gardener. He also enjoyed golf. He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Gaff of Indianapolis, IN and Marsha Spaide of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. (Sohn) Reed; sister, Shirley Andrews and a brother, John Reed; and a grandchild. Friends may gather at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon on August 30, 2017 from 4:00pm-6:00pm with a funeral service to be held at 6:00pm.
