Raymond "Ray" Lewis Shanklin

Raymond "Ray" L. Shanklin, age 70, surrounded by his loving family went home to be with the Lord on May 08, 2015. He was born in Massillon to the late Glenn and Velda (Shonk) Shanklin. He married Gloria "Doie" Berg on March 13, 1965 and had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Ray's shining accomplishments were as a loving husband and best friend, father, and grandfather. Ray loved the great outdoors spending time gardening, golfing and working in his yard. Ray enjoyed making people laugh and spending time with his family. In addition to his best friend and loving wife; he leaves to cherish his memory his children Lori (Butch Hardesty) Norcia, Tim (Chevonne Duncan)Shanklin and Debbie (Mike Ulle) Shanklin; his grandchildren David, Matt, Tim Norcia, Danielle, Nicholas, Derek and Carli Shanklin; his sister Darlene Spino and his faithful dog Lucy. A Celebration of Ray's life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7PM. Pastor Randy Newcomer officiating.
