Raymond M. David, age 87, of Massillon passed away Wednesday October 28th. He was born in Massillon on November 7, 1927 to the late Joseph and Marie (Toubia) David. He was a life resident of Massillon and a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. He was one of the founders, along with his brothers and sisters, of the David Brothers Wholesale toy stores located in Massillon and Canton. He subsequently worked in a trusted capacity at Camelot Music for over 20 years where he enjoyed many treasured memories and developed lifelong personal friendships. Upon his retirement, "Uncle Ray" (as many called him) kept his ornery charm and humor, along with maintaining his strong ties to his hometown of Massillon. In addition to his late parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lois (Canterbury), sons infant Raymond, Daniel, Steven and Edward. Raymond had 11 brothers and sisters precede him in death: Tofic, Esser, Edmund, Isabelle (George), Elizabeth, Thomas, Josephine (Castora), infant Evelyn, Paul, Helen, and Father Joseph (Richard David). Raymond is survived by his son Michael and wife Suzanne, brothers' John (wife Marci) and Robert (wife Carolyn), grandchildren Alexandra, Jordan, Nicholas, Danielle, Kelsey, Jacqueline and Jeremy, beloved daughter-in-laws Pam (Steve) and Shelly (Dan), and sister-in-law Carol (Paul David). A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00am Monday, November 2nd, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at the Paquelet Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
