Raymond Geibel

Raymond E. Geibel, age 73, of Massillon passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1937 in Massillon the son of the late John and Frances (Kirkbride) Geibel. Raymond was a steel worker for Republic Engineer retiring April 30, 2002. He was a veteran of the National Guard and the Army Reserve, and was a member of The Massillon American Legion. Raymond enjoyed fishing, camping, and working on his cabin. Raymond is survived by his wife Pearljene (Sonnhalter) whom he married November 3, 1964; brothers Jess Geibel of Canton, Charles Geibel of Massillon, and John Geibel of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Ruth Reese, Clara Nickerson, Betty Mathers, Katherine Nickol all of Massillon, and Phyllis Jean Lowther of Bartonsville, PA; many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers James Nickolas and Bernard Dwight Geibel. Visitation will be Monday, December 6th from 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home where additional visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations in Raymond’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
