Raymond F. “Ray” Lytle, 87, went home to be with his Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ on May 2, 2022. He was born on March 5, 1935, in Altoona, PA, to the late F. Earl and Grace (Rollason) Lytle. After graduating from Altoona High School in 1954, he joined the US Army spending two years in Germany. Ray was honorably discharged in August of 1957. He then moved to Ohio, working in construction. On June 29, 1963, he married Mary L. Flaisig. From Nov. 1977 until his retirement in March 1997, Ray worked at Brown Lumber, where he was made Mill Foreman. During retirement, he enjoyed restoring and refinishing antiques and working in his garden. He was a member of Calvary Chapel. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald E. Lytle, and Allen Lytle. He is survived by his wife Mary; two children Joseph F. Lytle and Jennifer (Greg) Vogelgesang; grandchildren, Sean and Alicia Lytle, Cory (Lindsay), Grace, and Joshua Vogelgesang; four great-grandchildren; his sister Delores Foster of Altoona, PA; sisters-in-law Mary Lee Lytle of Altoona, PA and Cindy Lytle of Weedsport, NY; and brother-in-law Robert (Mary) Flaisig of Sedona, AZ. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, with the funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Pastors Josh Pizor and Mick Robinson, Officiating.
