Raymond E. Crescenze age 88 of Massillon passed away Sunday April 8, 2012 at Amherst Meadows. He was born March 25, 1924 in Massillon to the late Stephen & Mary (Porrini) Crescenze. Ray served in the Army during WWII in the pacific. He retired from Tyson Mfg after many years of service. Ray will be remembered for his devotion to his wife of 61 years and their family. He loved working in his garden and was an avid Tiger and Bengals fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Angeline Zimbello. He is survived by his wife Lucy (Sarachene) Crescenze; two children and their spouses. Raymond (LuAnn) Crescenze and their children Scott (Monica) Crescenze and their children, Danica, Andrea & Camdyn; and Michael (Stephanie) Crescenze and their child, Kinsley. Mary (Duane) Wilson and their children; Brett Wilson and Jana (David) Smithberger and son Elyjah. He leaves a sister and three brothers: Carolyn Mesaros, Steve 'Judo' Crescenze, Richard Crescenze and Edward Crescenze. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, his pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
