Raymond D. Zimmer

Raymond D. Zimmer age 84 of Massillon, passed away Sunday morning at Altercare of Navarre. He was born in Massillon on March 27, 1924 to the late Alva and Margaret (Hopper) Zimmer. Ray is a 1942 Washington High School graduate and is a United States World War II Navy Veteran. He retired from Republic Steel following 29 years as a security officer. Ray was a member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon and the Clinton Masonic Lodge #47 F. & A.M. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, June (Engler) Zimmer; son, Dale Zimmer of Massillon; brother, William Zimmer of Florida; grandchildren, Carolyn and Andrew Zimmer.
