Raymond "Bub" S. Beck

Raymond “Bub” Sidney Beck, 81, passed away on April 22, 2021. He was born in Altoona, PA on May 25, 1939 to the late Walter C. and Eva M. (Jones) Beck. He was a 1957 graduate of McKinley High School, and retired from Central State Can and worked at The Massillon Recreation Center. Ray was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon. He loved sports and was a season ticket holder for Tiger Football for 40 years. Ray also enjoyed, NASCAR, car shows and traveling. Ray has never met a stranger and had a very outgoing personality.` Ray is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy Mae (Shonfelt) Beck; children Debra (Ric) Parks and Barbara Getz; five grandchildren, Michael, Jerud, Dylan, Morgan and Leah; three great-grandchildren, Beau, Avery and Drew; siblings, Joann Meier and Dick (Linda) Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Walter, Gary and Bobbie. Friends and family will gather from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A grave side service will be held at 11am Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Dr. Mark Jacobs officiating. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
