Randall Keith Bennett, age 68 of Canton, passed away on May 18, 2021. Randall was born on October 12, 1952 in Nettie, West Virginia to Gus and Thelma (McMillian) Bennett. He served for six years in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Randall retired after 40 years as a Professor and Department Chair of the Automotive Department at Stark State University. After retiring, Randall worked as an independent contractor for First Choice Deliveries. Randall enjoyed hiking, bicycling, and working on cars. He was an adventurous traveler, visiting many National Parks. He was a humanitarian who volunteered and built homes for Habitat for Humanity. Randall is preceded in death by his parents, son, Keith Bennett, and brother, Edgel “Pete.” He is survived by his loving girlfriend of six years, Christina Fuller, children, Diane (Geoff Exline) Bennett and Sean Bennett, grandchildren, Lakota, Randall “R.J”, Kayla, Maxwell, and Peige, great-grandchild, Aedyn, siblings, Gordon, Erma, JoAnn, and Linda, Diane’s mother, Victoria Higgs, Sean’s mother, Sue Bennett, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may come to call on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are also strongly encouraged. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
