Ralph Preston Kidder

Ralph Preston Kidder, age 51 of Canton, passed away September 23, 2008. He was born in Canton on April 14, 1957 to Robert & Virginia (Coburn) Kidder. Ralph was a 1975 graduate of Jackson High School. After graduating he continued to work for Winn’s R.V. in North Canton. He then went on to work at the Sherwin Williams store in Wooster where he met Marty Gaumer. On June 28, 1980 Ralph married the love of his life, Martha “Marty” (Gaumer) Kidder. He worked for the last 20 yrs. at Detroit Diesel in the quality department. He is survived by his wife, Martha “Marty” Kidder of Canton; son, Keith P. Kidder and his fiancée Denielle Simmers of North Lawrence; daughter, Amy & David DeFine of Canton; parents, Robert & Virginia Kidder of North Canton; 4 sisters, J. Penelope “Penny” Kidder of Massillon, Mary & Richard Lloyd of Massillon, Susan Kidder of Hawaii, Kathryn “Polly” & Renard Patterson of Mt. Vernon and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home where friends may call from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to the American Cancer Society for Melanoma Research. The family will of a gathering following the services at the Kidder residence.
