Ralph L. Rohrig, age 84 of Navarre, passed away Saturday at AlterCare of Navarre. Ralph was born December 20, 1927 in Fulda, OH to the late Walter & Elizabeth (Crock) Rohrig. He lived most of his life in Navarre and retired from the Timken Company in 1982 after 35 years of service. Ralph served with the Army in both WW II and Korea. Following retirement he was the custodian for St. Clements Church and School and a member of K of C #5582 in Navarre. A member of VFW #5047, he served in the Color Guard and supported their activities. He was proud to be a 20 gallon donor to the American Red Cross Blood Program. An avid outdoors men, he will be remembered especially for gardening and helping other people. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Evelyn Rohrig in 2001, and five siblings, James, Andrew, Elmer, Anna Mary Strubel and Irene Michael. He is survived by four children and spouses, Lawrence (Sharon) Rohrig of Jackson Twp., Christopher (Michelle) Rohrig of Perry Twp. and Steven Rohrig and Laura Rohrig both of Navarre; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. There are four surviving siblings, John Rohrig, Paul Rohrig, Melvin Rohrig and Marcella Crum. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Thursday at Holy Family Parish (St. Clements Catholic Church), Fr. Michael Seifert will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
